Lampe-LED

Inspired by NASA’s research into photosynthesis, the innovative LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology, dubbed "skin fitness" in the USA has numerous applications in aesthetic medicine.

Operating principle:

The LED emits a monochromatic light that affects the repair process of the skin: it "boosts" the activity of the fibroblasts, thus stimulating the production of collagen.

The action of the LED varies depending on the colour of the light (and thus the wavelength) which more or less penetrates the tissues and each colour has a different indication (orange for youthfulness, blue for acne, etc.).

Applications:

  • Anti-aging treatment: re-plumping effect of the skin which becomes smoother, toned and firm. The texture becomes finer, the pores are tightened and the complexion is brighter
  • Other aesthetic medicine treatments: improves the results of injections (botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid) and of skin peeling.
  • Scarring: improvement and acceleration of healing, improvement in redness and inflammation (after an operation, sunburn, etc.).
  • Stretch marks.
  • Certain types of acne.

What happens during a session:

For certain indications, the skin is first prepared by peeling or use of a dermaroller. The LED light is applied a few centimetres from the area to be treated on carefully cleaned skin.

There is no pain, merely a feeling of diffuse heat. The length of the session (between five and 20 minutes), the intensity and colour of the light vary depending on the treatment.

The number of sessions advised is an average of one per week for four to six weeks then one a month for four months.

After the session:

The slight redness at the end of the session disappears in a few hours. You can resume normal activity as soon as you leave the session.

The first effects are visible after six to eight sessions. Changes to the skin are progressive and continue for several months after treatment, as the collagen forms.
